On a peaceful summers day, resting slightly in the shade with the love of your life looking your way.
Sarah Micheal Gellar. No.14 20hours This is one of my favorite pieces, it hasn't been clear coated yet so I did have some trouble with minor reflections in it  .What captivated me about this was the amount of intimacy, but not sexuality. Often the two are confused with each other. It is a look of trust and love, hidden away in a secret place and only you are allowed in. Several things work with it, for one she's undone her top, though most would make that sexual, in this it is a mater of intimacy and trust, not sex. Her back is exposed as is her heart as she lets you in. I changed the background slightly, I wanted the area to be a bit more secluded, a bit more reserved or rather private. It is a stare that invites you in, as if the very moment she's letting you in. You can see almost the slightest trickle of fear in her eyes, but her love for you overwhelms it. This will probably be the last piece I do on bristle paper, The large teeth make it difficult to completely fill an area and not eat up half my pencil. |
