Artist's Comments

About a month ago I posted this drawing I did of Emma Watson. I have grown very fond of the peice and in fact feel at this point in my life it best reflects this age for me.

---{{{Please view at FULL/DOWNLOAD size, it REALLY does make a difference!}}}---

It will not jump out at you, it won't scream an emotion like Alessandra did. That one made me feel very free instantly. No, Emma will speak softy, but if you look for more than a split second, she'll capivate something inside of you.

What it does is actually a great deal stronger in person, I find myself simply looking at it everyday which for me is a big deal. [I have a tendency to get wrapped up in the next project and hardly look back sometimes. ] As rimete posted, and I couldn't agree more, it is very personal, like you are right there, or more importantly she is right there.

It is a look that says a lot, important words, critical words, but spoken in whisper. Her eyes speak of understanding, to me it really is as if I am being looked at by someone who truly knows me, who truly understands me, who truly loves me. It is as if it reaches deap inside of you and whispers hello to your core.

I write this tonight because, well, I want other people to experience this too. I know some members have, but I also know with as many peices that arrive daily here, getting more than even a quick look at something is an achievement in itself. Let alone asking to really look at something that speaks so softy. I know it isn't blunt, but its song never ends once you hear it.

So I hope if you have a chance you take a look, and I hope that if you look, you'll see what's seeing you.

"He smiled understandingly;much more than understandingly. It was one of those rare smiles with a quality of eternal reassurance in it, that you may come across four or five times in life. It faced;or seemed to face;the whole external world for an instant, and then concentrated on you with an irresistible prejudice in your favor. It understood you just so far as you wanted to be understood, believed in you as you would like to believe in yourself, and assured you that it had precisely the impression of you that, at your best, you hoped to convey. Precisely at that point it vanished..."

-The Great Gatsby by F. Scott Fitzgerald

[Emma Watson]
aka. Hermione from Harry Potter

The crest in her hat has over 90 lines, I counted, it was a fun day for my eyes, ha.

Here is an older and smaller one I did of Hermione:

I get what you mean about going unnoticed. Today it seems that you have to be a pro to get comments :O_o:. But I actually like this! My eyes would of popped out if I was drawing the hat :x . An I see you managed to put her freckles there, which I knew she had b/c I remember seeing another shot of this photoshoot.

Yeah the hat, like hair, was a bit of a pain to keep my place with, but its worth it in the end.
